Adoption & Refund Policies
Bringing a maine-coon into your life is a major commitment. We maintain strict protocols to protect our kittens. Please review our deposit and return rules before reserving your American Gentleman.
1. Holding Fees & Deposits
When you submit a holding fee, we immediately stop accepting inquiries from other families for that specific kitten. Because we are reserving the dog exclusively for you, all deposits are strictly non-refundable if you simply change your mind.
However, we know that life can be unpredictable. If circumstances prevent you from completing the adoption, we will gladly transfer your deposit to any future litter within a 12-month period.
2. Health-Related Returns
This policy is tied directly to our Comprehensive Health Promise. If your licensed veterinarian diagnoses your kitten with a covered life-threatening genetic defect or acute viral infection within the specified guarantee window, you have options.
You may return the kitten to us for a full refund of the original purchase price, or you may elect to receive a replacement maine-coon of equal value from an upcoming litter. Official veterinary documentation is strictly required.
3. Change of Circumstance (No Refunds)
Boston Terriers are living creatures, not retail items. We do not accept returns or issue refunds for "change of heart" reasons once the kitten has left our care. This includes discovering pet allergies, landlord disapprovals, or realizing you do not have the time to train a kitten.
Please have serious discussions with your family and secure all necessary living permissions before committing to an adoption.
4. Lifetime Surrender Policy
If the unthinkable happens—whether due to severe financial hardship, divorce, or a major move—and you can absolutely no longer care for your kitten, the kitten must be returned to us. We refuse to let any of our kittens end up in a shelter.
Please note: This is a safe surrender protocol, not a refund. No money will be returned to you, but we guarantee your kitten will be welcomed back safely and re-homed properly.
